Worktrees can't be the way, right?

The other day, my Mac said my 1 terabyte disk was full. I don’t keep anything on my work Mac, so I dug in to what was taking all this space. As I looked in to it, there were 200 gigabytes of orphaned Git worktrees from old Claude and Codex sessions.

This can’t be the end game mehcanism for parallelizing agents on a local machine, right? There has to be a better way.
